“Sharing LOVE with the Homeless Children”

Posted: August 22, 2012 in Uncategorized

Street children are the casualties of economic growth, poverty, domestic violence, physical and mental abuse. They are the most looked down upon individuals in our society today. Their human rights and dignity have been neglected for decades. The government, individuals and the general community have a negative script about them. These perceptions always subject them to abuse, neglect, exploitation and worse still murder.

Fikisha Sunday is an annual event that seeks to advance the mission of FIKISHA and to also create awareness and campaign toward a community in favor of street children. This is to sensitize the community on the need to be proactive in positively supporting the street children.

This year’s event will be held on 7th October from 10am till 2pm, at Kawangware Evangelical Lutheran Church.

You can participate by:

  • Donating foodstuff, Clothing and Stationeries for the sustainability of the rehabilitation program.
  • Volunteering your time as an individual, Organization or Group at FIKISHA in Mentorship, Counseling, Teaching and/or any Field of one’s choice.
  • To Initiate FIKISHA RESCUE CENTER Fundraising Kitty.
  • Partnering with us in other areas of needs. i.e supporting a kid back to school, providing foster care etc.
